Why the shop reads like a datasheet

Nothing is dressed up: the leaf lies on a grey sweep under one lamp, and everything else on the page is measurement — register crosses, dashed baselines, the coordinates of the county the tea came from. Type stays small, light and widely tracked so the photograph carries the page instead of the headline. Fermented nuggets are lumpy and irregular, and a laboratory backdrop is the only honest way to show that. The sheet stays inside what we can actually state, so origin, process and brewing temperature are printed and adjectives are not.
